The Winter & Continuation Wars

Two connected military confrontations that are both historically fascinating and ultimately very playable from skirmishers to pitched battles and indeed to small campaigns at Sea, on Land and in the Air. The Winter War was fought in the winter & spring of 1939 - 40 on the Finns home ground whilst the Continuation War was fought in conjunction with their German allies (who had indirectly led to their defeat in the Winter War) against only a partially reformed Soviet Union.

There is so much information available on this sideshow that it is just waiting to be wargamed - from the defiant Finns in the 'Winter War' to the Finns on the attack as they enter the 'Great Patriotic War' when the Germans invade Mother Russia. In addition figures and models are available in a range of scales..... if you haven't got a Reindeer in your wargames' collection then you just haven't got a collection.
