There is some confusion here about the Northern Wars as there were, over two centuries, a series of 'Northern Wars' of which this is the last of the series. It is also called the 2nd or even the 3rd Northern War.
So what are the options?
Strategic Warfare
Unless you are willing to setup a campaign map you are restricted to around 4 boardgames that have been published in the last thirty years or so.
Tactical Battles on Land
Beneath the Lily Banners by Barry Hilton is a favourite though there are others including GåPå & Twilight of the Sun King. There are literally loads of battles from Narva to Poltava, from Narva (again - so good the fought it twice) to Grodno (actually they fought that one twice as well).
Naval Warfare
Plenty of battles to choose from including the battle of Hogland in 1705 - the first time Russian galleys were used in combat in the Baltic. For rules, well we're still investigating.... but Grand Fleet Actions in the Age of Sail covers the period, though perhaps not the size of some of the battles.... perhaps we will write some.
