Prague for Historical Wargamers

A first‑timer’s practical guide for British visitors: Hussite ramparts and White Mountain (1620), the 1648 fighting on Charles Bridge, Frederick the Great’s 1757 battle, Napoleonic‑era defences, WWII Anthropoid sites, the Žižkov Army Museum, and aviation at Kbely — all within ~20 km of Prague’s perimeter, with pubs an easy walk away.

Quick transit: Get a 24‑hour PID ticket (metro/tram/bus). For views, try the Historic Tram 42 loop or a short Vltava river cruise between zones.
