WW2 German AT Doctrine
"As a result of its speed, mobility, cross-country performance, and protection against tanks, the antitank battalion can attack enemy armoured vehicles. Its object is to engage and destroy enemy tanks by surprise attacks from unexpected directions with concentrated fire. In addition to engaging enemy tanks, the antitank unit has the task of neutralizing antitank defences, thereby supporting its own tanks."
